DIVERSITY AND CULTURE AWARD

The talented individuals working in this industry are key to delivering our future energy goals, so it is important to recognise programmes which strive to create an inclusive, diverse and motivated workforce as well as championing a positive and progressive culture. This award recognises an organisation or project which works to place people at its centre.

GREEN ENERGY SKILLS AWARD
Sponsored by OPITO

Ensuring we meet the skills needs of the future is crucial to achieving our net-zero targets. This award celebrates groups or organisations going above and beyond to prepare the energy workforce of the future. This includes initiatives supporting early careers, training and qualifications, industry standards and those either making the move from a background in other sectors such as traditional fossil fuel energy generation or adding to their skillset to work across both sectors.

GREEN BUSINESS GROWTH AWARD

Supply chain organisations across Scotland will play a key role in ensuring the country deploys a varied mix of energy projects. From offshore wind to green hydrogen and solar, there is much work to be done and as Scotland’s renewable energy capacity grows, so too does the knowledge and experience of the companies delivering these technologies. If your organisation has increased its aspirations, capacity and size through ambitious local and international renewables growth plans in the past two years, it may well be the winner of the Green Business Growth Award.

SUSTAINABLE SUPPLIER AWARD

With businesses from tier ones and Big Oil to high street brands pushing their green credentials to customers, it’s no surprise that a requirement to cut carbon has been passed down to the supply chain. This award is designed for those businesses which are seeing this shift as an opportunity and making sure they’re at the front of the pack helping industry clean up. Judges are looking for innovative solutions and ideas which are successfully reducing carbon emissions, focusing on a circular economy and supporting our green energy future.

SUPPLY CHAIN DEVELOPMENT AWARD

Maximising the economic benefits of our green energy projects and supporting the renewable energy supply chain is firmly in the spotlight. This award recognises developers who are committed to fostering local supply chain growth at the heart of their renewable energy projects. Leading the charge to deliver green electrons, these organisations are going above and beyond to open the business door for companies with solutions that never cease to impress.

BEST PRACTICE AWARD

In our industry suppliers work tirelessly to ensure they are meeting the standards required to deliver high quality, keep their people safe and get the buy-in of the people who matter to their projects. This award celebrates a company or project which has gone above and beyond to implement an initiative to achieve exemplary health, safety, environmental and quality improvements, or which has worked with stakeholders, including communities, to ensure everyone is aligned as a project develops. Judges are looking for nominations from companies and projects which set the gold standard in business best practice.

OUTSTANDING SME AWARD

SME organisations are the backbone of the supply chain. Dozens of companies are turning their attention to harnessing the opportunities emerging from the move to a clean energy system. This award recognises the individual pioneering organisations who are pushing innovation boundaries, investing in their people, collaborating with peers and providing unique added value to the green energy sector. This award embodies entrepreneurial spirit and is open to any businesses operating in any green technology.
