    Sinclair Browne

    Chief Executive, Inverness Harbour Trust

    Sinclair is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and was appointed Chief Execuitve of Inverness Harbour Trust in July 2011. The Port of Inverness is operated as a Trust Port and over the last 10-years, Sinclar has been at the forefront of the Port’s transformation into a leading logistical hub for the renewable energy sector. Over that period, the Port has facilitated the movement of over 350 turbines to various wind farms throughout the Highlands. He also led the Port’s contribution as one of the main consortium members of the recently announced Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport, one of two Green Freeports in Scotland.

    Prior to his appointment at Inverness, Sinclair spent 30-years advising clients on all aspects of commercial property, latterly as a Partner in Knight Frank, one of the world’s leading independent real estate consultancies. He has been involved in several high-profile projects with a particular specialisation in site assembly, development and brownfield regeneration. He is currently Vice-Chair of the British Ports Associations Scottish Ports Group as well as BPA Council member.

    Managing Director, I&H Brown

    Duncan is a Main Board Director of his family business, the civil engineering contractors, I & H Brown. He was the first of the third generation to join the company following the completion of a graduate scheme with a large M&E contractor. He began his I & H Brown career in 2015 working from their regional office in Warrington, going on to run this office for 3 years, before taking a role in Scotland in 2020. Working from I & H Brown’s head office in Perth, Duncan is now heavily involved in the running of both the civil engineering and development divisions. I & H Brown employ over 200 staff working across the UK. The business works across a range of sectors including waste, infrastructure, remediation, highways and of course energy.

    Sean Butterfield

    General Manager, Manor Renewable Energy

    Sean Butterfield holds the position of General Manager at Manor Renewable Energy (MRE), an OEG Renewables company. Sean joined the MRE team in early 2017, coming to the company to fulfil a project management role. Throughout his career at MRE, Sean has been responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of temporary power projects for the company throughout Europe and Taiwan, and most recently in the USA as the region develops its offshore wind presence.
    Sean has held a variety of roles whilst at MRE, including Operations Manager and Head of Projects roles, and was appointed General Manager in 2023. In his current position, Sean utilises his extensive operational experience to help drive MRE’s global expansion alongside overseeing the project management, logistics, and personnel departments within the company.

    Chief Inspector - Operational Support Division, Police Scotland

    I am 48 years old and have completed 28 years of Police Service. I am currently an Acting Chief Inspector, based within the Operational Support Complex, Helen Street, Glasgow. I have responsibility for various functions within Police Scotland’s Operational Support Division, focussed on Road Policing which includes oversight of the commitment towards the provision of officers to deal with Abnormal Loads and ongoing policy and process review.

    During my career I have worked in variety of different roles including Community Policing, Communications, Recruitment and latterly in Road Policing where I have performed roles as Senior Investigating Officer, Department Lead for Ayrshire, Support function and now in Senior Management position.

    Operations & Maintenance Package Manager, Vattenfall

    I work as an Operations and Maintenance Package Manager for Vattenfall, involved in a project from development through to operations making sure that the project is ready on day one. I have been with Vattenfall for nearly 9 years working in both Offshore and Onshore Wind. I started on Aberdeen Offshore Wind Farm before construction getting the site set up and then working on activities in getting the project ready for operations. I moved into Onshore Wind after and have worked on several projects in Netherlands and Sweden. Recently I have handed over South Kyle Wind Farm in Ayrshire, and now am working on Clashindarroch II and other sites we have in development in Scotland.

Gry is an England and Wales qualified solicitor with experience advising companies in the shipping, energy, and insurance industries. As maritime legal counsel, Gry provides legal support in respect of Fugro’s owned and chartered fleet.

    Senior Business Development and Strategy Manager, Forth Ports

    Rob Mason has worked with Forth Ports Ltd for over 15 years in several operational, management and commercial roles across the Scottish Operation, which includes 7 Ports and 2 Statutory Harbour Authority areas. Rob is a qualified chartered Surveyor, and currently holds the position as Senior Business Development and Strategy Manager with a specific focus on Offshore Wind and the wider Energy Transition. Forth Ports has a strong track record investing in supply chain solutions and delivering market leading, purpose built infrastructure. In support of supply chain development and the deployment of offshore wind Forth Ports is building ahead of demand investing over £150m in infrastructure as well as port and marine services. Forth Ports is also a significant economic driver across the Scottish Economy, generating £556m of economic value GVA, and across the group handles 41 million tonnes of cargo every year.

    Bob Sanguinetti joined Port of Aberdeen as Chief Executive in 2021, bringing an extensive background in the maritime industry. Prior to joining the port, Bob led the UK Chamber of Shipping, where he influenced Government, Parliament and global organisations to champion and protect the UK’s shipping industry. Bob was Chief Executive of the Port of Gibraltar between 2014 – 2018 and has more than 20 years’ experience in the Royal Navy, in sea and land-based roles.

    Lynn joined Montrose Port Authority (MPA) in February 2018 as an Internal Sales and Marketing Coordinator. She was promoted to Commercial Services Team Leader in March 2019 and now serves as the Business & Commercial Manager. Prior to her time at the Port, Lynn worked as a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Hays Recruitment.
    In 2022, Lynn graduated with Distinction from the University of Dundee's Graduate Apprenticeship programme, earning a BA (Hons) in Business Management with Industrial Experience, a qualification sponsored by Montrose Port.
    Lynn is dedicated to supporting all port stakeholders and takes great pride in her work at MPA. A career highlight has been helping to secure Montrose as a major Operations and Maintenance base for offshore wind farms on the East Coast of Scotland, including the Seagreen and Inch Cape Wind Farms. These projects have and will significantly benefit the Port, the local supply chain, and the region.
    In 2023, Lynn was appointed to the Board of Trustees for Montrose Community Trust. She brings her expertise in business development, commercial efforts, marketing, and growth strategies to support the organisation's community-focused mission. This role highlights Lynn’s dedication to the community that MPA serves and supports as a trust port.

With over 20 years renewable energy supply chain experience, he is a Board Director at both Scottish Renewables and Renewable UK, sits on the Scottish Government’s Renewables Strategic Leadership Group, is a Deepwind Cluster board member and sits on SOWEC’s Supply Chain Steering Group. He is also Non Exec Director leading wave technology provider, Mocean Energy.

    Gavin is UK & Ireland Head of New Business & Supply Chain Strategy at ScottishPower Renewables, where he is responsible for the roll-out of supply chain strategy planning, development and supply chain engagement to all Iberdrola’s UK and Irish offshore projects. He has worked in the offshore renewables industry for over 10 years, with both SPR and ORE Catapult, where he was Head of Analysis & Insights, responsible for industry-leading analysis and helping to pave the way for policy support for emerging technologies such as floating offshore wind and tidal stream energy. He also has a background in corporate finance and business valuation, having worked for a number of years in financial management and financial consultancy.

    Scott Smith is the Renewables Manager for Geo-Structural Ltd., with a diverse and robust background in Industrial Rope Access (IRATA) and the oil & gas industry. Transitioning to the renewables sector seven years ago, Scott has since specialised in operations and maintenance (O&M) of wind turbine blade repairs, with the use of suspended blade access platforms and industrial rope access techniques. His expertise extends to large-scale wind farm life extension projects, including foundation resin injection & repairs. At Geo-Structural Ltd., Scott's primary responsibilities include Business Development and Project Management, where he utilises his extensive experience to drive company growth and advance innovative solutions in the renewable energy sector.

    A mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience with an early career in Oil and Gas supporting marine operations and subsea installation. While with Boskalis, was a member of the Kincardine installation team transporting, integrating, and installing the 5 floating wind WTGs off Stonehaven, Scotland.
    A passionate advocate for Floating wind supporting infrastructure development and the commercialisation of GW scale installation of Floating Wind. Since joining the renewables developer world has combined his marine offshore experience with computational simulation to develop future floating wind integration and installation strategies.

  • Paul Young

    Paul Young

    Account Manager - Offshore Energy, Clarksons Port Services

    Paul started in the shipping industry as a Trainee Shipping Agent with EnShip Ltd in October 2005. He worked his way up the ranks at EnShip and was latterly the Operations Supervisor for the business looking after day to day operations, including supporting clients internationally. In 2012 Paul joined Bibby Offshore as Logistics Manager, where he oversaw the logistics division and during their peak, managed 3 DSV’s, 1 CSV and a ROVSV. Paul was also responsible for all chartering activities and has vast experience in the movement of large project cargoes. His next venture saw him join M2 Subsea as Supply Chain Manager, overseeing the procurement and logistics for over 20 ROV systems globally. Following this a short stay at both GAC and Boskalis Paul joined the CPS team as Account Manager in October 2019. Paul uses his experience gained in operations to work with clients to better understand their needs and ensure CPS offers a first class experience.
    During his 19 years in the industry, Paul has been involved in multiple projects with several them overseas in places such as The Netherlands, Norway, Falkland Islands, South Africa, USA and Italy to name but a few.
