Claire Addison
Claire Addison, Flexitricity
Claire Addison is Flexitricity's Head of Regulation. She is responsible for ensuring Flexitricity remains at the fore front in creating value from new flexible energy opportunities. Claire has also launched new service offerings internally, including Flexitricity’s Wider Access to the Balancing Mechanism offering for existing and new Energy Partners.
Previously Claire spent five years working for The AES Corporation, a Fortune 200 electricity company, latterly as Government & Regulatory Affairs Manager for the UK & Ireland.Jim Gibson
Chief Operating Officer, AFC Energy
Jim Gibson has been with AFC Energy for 3 years working on the development and delivery of the H-Power fuel cell system which is centered around the company’s core Alkaline Fuel Cell Technology. Before joining AFC Energy Jim’s has worked for 30 years mainly in the Process Plant sector for Engineering Contractors with experience in Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Refining sectors and covering Operations Management, Business Development and Commercial functions. Jim graduated in Chemical & Process Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and holds an MSc from Glasgow Caledonian University.
Andrew Green
Programme Manager, Connected Places Catapult
Andrew Green is a Programme Manager at the Connected Places Catapult, with responsibility for delivering projects in a variety of areas, including decarbonisation of transport and connected & autonomous vehicles. Since April 2018 Andrew has been leading delivery of a project on behalf of DfT to identify under what circumstances and for which modes/applications hydrogen is likely to provide the best solution for the future UK transport system, and how barriers to its implementation might be addressed. More recently the project has looked into the options for decarbonising heavy duty vehicles.
Andy Kerr
Director, Climate-KIC
Andy Kerr is the UK and Ireland Director for EIT Climate-KIC, Europe’s largest innovation agency for climate solutions which works with cities, industry and regions to deliver transformational change. This includes working with Edinburgh on their net zero by 2030 plans. Previously, Andy founded and directed ECCI, the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation and the Scottish Centre of Expertise on Climate Change: ClimateXChange. He is a non-executive Director of Scottish Renewables.
Claire Mack
Chief Executive, Scottish Renewables
Claire has been Chief Executive of Scottish Renewables, the representative voice of Scotland’s renewable energy industry, since October 2017. She is responsible for leading the organisation’s work to grow Scotland’s renewables sector and sustain its position at the forefront of the global clean energy industry.
Claire is a member of the First Minister’s Energy Advisory Board and the Renewables Industry Advisory Group, co-chaired by Scotland’s Energy Minister.
Paul Minto
Head of Low Carbon Transport, GreenPower
Paul has recently joined GPI to lead the development of the low carbon transport sector. GPI is a renewable energy generator and project developer committed to providing electricity, hydrogen and other energy sources for transport. Paul was a Partner in the Infrastructure Projects & Energy team at international law firm, Addleshaw Goddard, until late 2019 and is now focused on promoting commercially viable transport projects that improve air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Daisy Narayanan
Director of Urbanism Sustran
Daisy Narayanan is the Director of Urbanism for Sustrans where her role involves interweaving policy, public realm design and a broad integration of key place principles to help create liveable towns and cities, within the remit of Sustrans vision and mission.
Daisy is on the Board of Architecture & Design Scotland and sits on the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund panel. She was on the Active Travel Task Force set up by the Minister for Transport and the Islands and is a member of the Scottish Transport Awards judging panel.
Moira Nicolson
Senior Behavioural Insights Manager, Ofgem
Moira Nicolson is a Senior Behavioural Insights researcher within the Behavioural Insights Unit at Ofgem, the British energy regulator and an Honorary Research Fellow at the UCL Energy Institute at University College London. At Ofgem Moira is responsible for providing policymakers with the evidence they need to design effective policy, including through the use of randomised control trials and rapid evidence assessments. Prior to joining Ofgem, Moira completed her PhD in domestic consumer engagement in electricity demand-side response programmes at University College London.
Euan Norris
Stakeholder & Community Energy Manager, SP Energy Networks
Euan Norris is the Stakeholder & Community Energy manager for SP Energy Networks Scottish distribution network operator, working with stakeholders and communities across Scotland to deliver Scotland’s low carbon ambitions and delivering SP Energy Networks objective of being a key facilitator in the energy transition.
Jess Pepper
External Affairs Manager, Transform Scotland
Jess works on sustainable transport with Transform Scotland, currently the #lovemybus campaign and Vision 2030 Bus. She is a Climate Reality Leader/Mentor trained by Former US VP Al Gore, sits on the Board of Stop Climate Chaos Scotland http://www.stopclimatechaos.org and has Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.
Neil Swanson
Director, EVA Scotland
An EV driver since 2016, Neil has been a director of EVA Scotland since 2017. He is also an operational engineer on the Transmission network.
Ed Thomson
Head of Low Emission Vehicles Policy, Transport Scotland
Ed joined Transport Scotland in 2018 as Head of Low Emission Vehicle Policy, leading a team that focuses on the options, challenges and opportunities posed by the transition to low carbon forms of transport, including the implications for the economy and workforce.
Morag Watson
Director of Policy, Scottish Renewables
Morag is Scottish Renewables’ Director of Policy. Her work involves overseeing Scottish Renewables’ policy function and key projects within Scotland’s leading renewables trade body, working on behalf of 250+ organisations to grow Scotland’s renewable energy sector and sustain its position at the forefront of the global clean energy industry.
Morag has worked in policy for over 15 year and was previously a Senior Policy Officer with WWF Scotland, specialising in climate change, sustainable development and behaviour change.
