Investor Panel advises Scottish Government on just transition investment
The Investor Panel, a panel of experts in investment finance brought together to advise on how the Scottish Government can create the right conditions to attract global capital investment required for a just transition, has set out its series of recommendations.
Responding, Claire Mack, Chief Executive of Scottish Renewables, said:
“We know that public and private capital investment will be needed on an unprecedented scale if we are to deliver a just transition to net-zero so we welcome the Investor Panel’s recommendations which align with our own ambitions for Scotland’s renewable energy industry.
“As we are in a race with global competitors for clean energy investment it is vital that the Scottish Government urgently establishes an environment that provides the public and private sector with the confidence they need to invest at scale.
“We are pleased that the Scottish Government has welcomed the panel’s recommendations and urge it to continue working closely with industry to accelerate the critical investment necessary to achieve the just transition to net zero.”
