BEIS Public Attitudes Tracker

The latest edition of the BEIS public attitudes tracker shows increased public support for renewable energy with 80% of the public expressing support and 44% strongly supporting - an increase from 79% and 42% in March 2020.

Responding, Morag Watson, Director of Policy at Scottish Renewables said:

“We are delighted to see the huge public support for renewable energy and concern about climate change continue to grow.

“Renewable energy generates clean electricity and supports sustainable jobs while helping to reduce carbon emissions.

“We look forward to seeing further deployment of these technologies which will make a significant contribution to the green economic recovery as we work towards net zero.”
